"We chose the name U2 to be ambiguous, to stay away from categorization." — Bono

by Stephen Chattaway

It was wet It was cold but you know what it didn't matter. I have been to a few memorable/emotional U2 shows but this was something different. Yes I knew we were likely to get the"achtung baby" start and even "bad" as the on-site official t-shirt dated fir the show emblazoned "wide awake in Glastonbury". But the sheer weight of everything bought the best of everything from the band. Walking around and talking to people afterwards who were not necessarily big U2 fans were blown away. I have yet to hear anyone moan apart from maybe not playing a particular song. Yesterday I wore a vertigo tour shirt and had a mixture of looks, today I am wearing my "wide wake in glasto" shirt and people are asking me where they can get it. I will treasure the shirt and the memory of a truly memorable experience
