Our definition of art is putting your head above the parapet, and be ready for the custard pie. I happen to love the taste of it. -- Bono

Travelled from the UK to see the show. We had standing tickets and following an altercation with a German Security Guard managed to get down to just outside the heart on Adams side of the stage. The setting was amazing - very reminiscent of red rocks and we had rain (heavy rain) during the day also. The opening act couldn't make it so some German comic was wheeled on - the crowd seemed to enjoy it but we couldn't understand any of it.
U2 hit the stage at around 9.15pm and were on form. Bono remarked on the amazing setting and I think this inspired them to perform well on the night (I saw them in Arnhem 2 days later and it wasn't quite the same). The Mcphisto guy in the crowd was worth the admission money alone - uncanny resemblense. He was holding up signs throughout the night with one liners such as "I have the desire", "The devil inside" and "Let's swap glasses". He was standing inside the heart at the front so Bono and Co. definitely read the messages. Bono got Macphisto up on stage during the falsetto start to The Fly (this song was awesome especially the beginning). Other musical highlights included "In a Little While" "Stay", "One" and "Walk On".

Well worth the trip and getting wet.
