Psalms and hymns . . . prepared me for the honesty of John Lennon, the baroque language of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, the open throat of Al Green and Stevie Wonder. -- Bono

Great set, great sound, and the luck of the Irish was with me! I got in the Bomb Shelter last night, for the first time, and what a blast! U2 fans have to be among the most courteous, benevolent grounp that's out there today. A quick trip to the rest room, and we were assured our spots along the railing upon our return. The band played very well. Bono's voice was in good shape, and the song selection was a good one. Fast Cars was a nice surprise to hear, as the live arrangement breathed some raucous energy into the song. A little boy, Owen, was brought on the stage by Bono, and walked the blindfolded singer "to safety." He appeared a little scared at first, until he removed Bono's blindfold, and then proudly strutted the catwalk with a confident grin of a rockstar in the making. Kudos to Bono for creating such a poignant memory for Owen, and everyone in attendance in Philly!
