"I write songs about high ideas and aspirations and I admire Martin Luther King and John Hume, peaceful people, but in myself I'm capable of aggression of a really brutal kind." — Bono

First we saw U2 on the first leg of the tour and these seats were infinitely better ( sec 124) so I can't comment on whether we were seeing things differently up close.

It must have been hard coming off a week in NYC but it seemed to our group that Bono was tired, somewhat nonplused, and maybe even voice issues were apparent. It is possible that backing tracks may have been in evidence.

Having said that, the sets were different. The band was crisp and the show entertaining. Good but not great. Some of the gimmicks were in check. The human rights and one.org was shortened from before as was the Headband, blindfold thing.

One more logistically issue- it seemed thatthe songs were shortened(?) and several were folded in the end of others so as to seem to have played them. Kind of odd.

AS mentioned, good, not great. Boy and Gloria were nice to hear again and the encores were fresh.
