"I suppose you could put in the liner notes: 'Please do not mistake Bono for God.'" — Edge

by Hooks

First time I have seen U2 since their Super Bowl appearance and Zoo TV tours. The sound mix was a little off at the beggining of the show for City of Blinding Light, but U2 did rock out the song. The band had a strong start of energy continuing into Vertigo, Elevation through the main set. Bono's voice sounded a little tired. I thought One, a great song, was a strange choice to leave the stage.
For the first encore, U2 played three songs from A-Baby album, my favorite. I thought the versions last night were a little flat and uninspired.
The second encore was a little stronger, maybe because they were new songs.
My biggest note were the newer songs from Atomic Bomb and Leave Behind sounded best. Even though I don't think this was their best show, they still are better than anyone else today even when they are not 100%.
