[W]e wanted to be on the iPod commercial because it is the greatest piece of pop art since the '60s. -- Larry

First of all, I think Marc M. who posted an earlier review must have been at the Xcel Center or the Metrodome because he surely wasn't at the Target Center Friday night (as were the rest of us and U2). He claims everybody in his section sat down at points. That must have been Section N (Non-existent)
because you could count the number of people sitting down on one hand let alone whole sections.

Anyway, I had seen U2 18 years ago and have remained a loyal fan since first hearing Boy, October, and War back in the early 80s. The thing that amazed me the most about the show was how fresh songs like Electric Co., The Ocean, and Sunday Bloody Sunday sounded mixed in with the more recent offerings.

I, like many others, was a little disappointed when I saw The Edge and Adam switch instruments at the end which usually signals they are about to play 40. Bono changed it to a second version of Vertigo at the last minute. I felt if they wanted to rock the house at that point I Will Follow or Out Of Control would have worked just fine, but I guess it is the Vertigo tour after all so they played it again.

All in all it was a fantastic show and the energy went through the roof during some moments. They are experts at their craft and certainly know which buttons to press on an audience. My wife couldn't stop screaming during Streets and it is a night neither she nor I will ever forget.
