"Joy in our group comes out of vowels, words with very few consonants, words that form when you're singing." — Bono

What a night, what a show!
I have to disagree strongly with a previous post by Chris. I felt that the audience and band were both feeding off of each other. The crowd was energitic and ready to go off. I do agree that during With Or Without You, Bono's voice did faulter but you try touring for 20+ years, never mind go out on a 3 leg, 100-date tour at age 45. I do agree, the cigarettes do not help. Give 'em up Bono man...
Highlights: City of Blinding Lights, Vertigo (a stomping tune live), Love and Peace, Electric Co and Edge's solo, Crumbs From Your Table.
I really think that we all could do without Pride (In the Name Of Love). While last night's version was well played, the song has been out on EVERY tour since Unforgettable Fire. An important meaning on the song but it could use a vacation for a while please. Subsitute with "Please" with a transition into "Street" would be a good alternative. I've been to two Zoo shows, two Popmart, three Elevation and now two Vertigo and I have to say that last night's show was by far and away the best! Great energy, a relaxed band having fun who hit on all cylinders for 2+ hours. Next time, spend two nights in Minneapolis boys. I guarantee you'll sell out both shows! Thanks for the great time!
