I peak early in the morning. It's downhill from there.-- Bono, 2004

by U2Guy

Well U2 starts the year by opening thier world tour in mt hometown (San Diego) and then LA in November!!! Great lower level seats on Edges side, sat right behind Paul Stanley of Kiss fame. The band rocked the place tonight, and the crowd was really into it!! Highlights were Electric Co, Still Havent Found, and Bono hitting all the difficult notes dring Miss Sarajevo. During the encore Bono spotted a sign outside the elipse, said, "It pays to adverise" and brought the all female band Exit onstage. They performed their version of one of my all time favorite U2 songs "Out of Control", with Bono and Edge accompanying. This was also the day after Larrys birthday, and the band came out in black "The Larry Mullen Band" tshirts for the second encore. Happy birthday was sung by the crowd and then 40 ended the night on a perfect note. This was a blast seeing them with my buddy Allen who had started goibg to U2 shows with me in the Joshua Tree days, and had last seen them during Zoo TV. Now the four year wait until next time. U2 are always worth seeing live, I have not been disappointed yet. Thanks for all the memories!!!
