To some people the church is their ticket to respectability, a certain bourgeois point of view, a safety net for when they go to bed. My idea of Christianity is no safety net, a scathing attack on bourgeois values, and a risk to respectability.-- Bono, 2002

The show was awesome but then again, after seeing U2 more times than I can remember, every single one of their shows are awesome. I somehow ended up with virtually the same exact seats as the last time I saw U2 via the Elevation tour at Staples, section 117 just a few rows from the rail.

There was very little of Bono and the band utlizing the ellipse and certainly Bono didn't run around like he had in previous tours, especially during Streets.

I would get rid of An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart and I know I'm in the minority with this one but I also see no reason for Yahweh, these songs in my opinion bring the show's energy way down, not to mention, many people seemed lost during An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart. It seems almost sacreligious to me to play those songs when you omit a song as powerful as Walk On (sorely missed).

I loved hearing Zoo Station and The Fly and Elevation was simply fantastic. These guys just have the most amazing talent in that they keep finding new ways to change the same songs and make them even better than the first time.

The acoustics were not the best I've heard U2 @ Staples, it seemed extremely loud and somewhat heavy on the bass. This was verified by comments I heard from other people after leaving the show making similar comments about their ears ringing etc.

I miss the U2 from years ago, they simply don't have the energy that they had even as recent as the Elevation Tour, it showed in Bono's voice as-well-as the lack of (like I said before), utilizing the ellipse - then again, we are all getting older!

There is no better band than U2 and certainly, no-one can touch their live performances, you don't sell out arena's after this many years without doing something right. I've seen many concerts and no-one interacts with the audience like U2 does and finally, no other band can produce as much excitement and electricity as U2.

Anyone who has not felt the excitement of a U2 show doesn't know what are missing and I'm jealous of all you people going to see them in upcoming shows, hopefully, I'll go in November.
