"My children have made me more aggressive about the world that they're about to inhabit." — Bono

by mikeop34

Compared to opening night in San Diego, this show had by far more energy, more excited fans and less jitters. U2 show they're beginning to hit a stride, and tonight's show truly had great energy and flow, even seeming a bit rushed at times.

High points

- Bono's voice was the best I've seen it in 3 Elevation shows and 2 Vertigo shows. Hope it holds up after a whole year of this

- Mysterious Ways seems to be a permanent addition to the setlist, and it carries the momentum of Zoo Station and The Fly to new heights

- Bono called Los Angeles a great place because more people survive on their imaginations here than anywhere else in the world, a contrived but effective way to get the whole self-absorbed LA crowd really into the show

Low points

- again, Bono, Edge and Adam seem reluctant to wander around the ellipse the way they did with the heart during Elevation. I'm not sure if this is still that they're getting used to the new tour or if the songs demand them together more, but I loved it when they strutted around the heart

- Electric Co and Anh Cat Dubh really seem to lose most of the audience still
