"I love hymns and gospel music, but the idea of turning your music into a tool for evangelism is missing the point. Music is the language of the spirit anyway." — Bono

I'd second much of what Denis said; amazing line-up, all on top form and a home town gig for U2. I remember that Annie Lennox got really tearful at one point as a lot of people were overly-full of their favourite beverage and were throwing things at the stage. That aside, everything else was perfect although there was some bad press about heavy-handed security afterwards. Stuart Adamson got an amazing response from the crowd and I could see him crying at one point - does that sort of thing happen anymore?

U2 were - as you'd expect - tight as a drum and I think they knew, even then, how good they were and where they were going. All in all, fantastic - my 4th or 5th show I think and they keep getting better.
