"I'm a very loyal and unreliable friend. First off, I've got to be there for my family, so I lose people along the way. But I seem to find them again. I'm a stray dog." — Bono

by Auggie

Eight months, four cities, and five shows later the boys can still bring a smile to my face and a tear to my eye in the same moment. I was in Atlanta in 1997 and in March of this year and I do believe Atlanta brings out the best in them.

It was great to see old friends and meet new ones. Losts of people from my home town (Guys, please come back to Nashville some day) were there to cheer on the best band in the world. Although we were all strangers entering the arena we all became a family once the music started.

I was lucky enough to get back in the heart and get a good spot. I haven't been there since the March show in Atlanta. It was a great ending to a great year. I'm not going to go into the set list or conversations Bono had with the crowd because there are plenty of other people doing that. I just want to say that U2 have a passion and a focus for music that is absent from any thing else you hear on the radio or see on MTV. These guys are the real deal and more bands should look to them for guidence.

I do want to mention that during "I Still Haven't Found.." and "Pride" the Phillips Arena became a church. And I mean the Spirit was there among us, and He was pleased.

Atlanta, Lexington, Indianapolis, Las Vegas and back to Atlanta. Guys, thanks for the memories and the uplifting of my spirit. God knows I needed it and God knows the rest of the world is listening. Thank You.
