[I]t's the struggle, the fight to get it right, that makes U2 what it is." -- Larry

by Mike

"This was an amazing night". Bono said it at the end of the show, and even that might have been an understatement. I was in the heart for the first Atlanta show in March and thought afterwards I'd seen the show of my life. Being in the "seats" last night was a step back I guess, but surprisingly was just as incredible. The crowd was intense, I can only imagine what it must have felt like on stage. 21,000 people on their feet helping Bono sing 'stuck in a moment'. What a night.
There's nothing cooler than sitting behind the stage during Elevation and seeing everyone on the floor go nuts after Bono jumps into the first 'woooo'! The acoustics were a little muddy behind the stage but it wasn't enough to ruin it. If anyone wants to trade pics I can mail/email doubles of mine.
I saw them at Notre Dame in October (it was okay) but for anyone wondering how down-to-earth Bono is, it's no lie. I was on campus 2 days before the ND concert and was tipped off by a roadie that they were about to arrive, so I went to the unloading area to maybe catch a glimpse of Edge or someone, but instead Bono walked up and talked with me for at least 5 minutes - he even talked on my phone to my friend Dina who happened to call me in the middle of it all (she's still glowing about it). Thanks to U2 for giving so much back to the fans.
Also, to the guy who got up and played 'People Get Ready' last night...unfreakin' real. Nice job, dude.
