"We realised that there's only a certain amount of Joshua trees you can chop down." — Larry, on recording All That You Can't Leave Behind

by Chris

Great show, they really played tight. The guitar solo in "Bullet the Blue Sky" was actually really stellar, I almost wish Bono's theatrics weren't upstaging it for the majority of the audience. Edge has such a great guitar sound right now, and the band was extremely tight and energetic on "Until the End of the World".

The show was really solid, and as pricey as the seats were, it was well worth it. My wife and I had a great time, and as always, the two hours goes fast.

"City of Blinding Lights" is such a great opening. They way they pull it off with the lighting is up there with "Where the Streets Have no Name" from the Joshua Tree tour in terms of a dramatic start to the show.

As nice as it would have been to close it off with "40", "Bad" was really, really fantastic to cap the night off. They dropped "All Because of You" for "Stuck in a Moment" in the encore which was performed very well, but I would have preferred the former.

I was hoping for "Electric Co." as i'd seen it on a few of the setlists from the tour, but i'll be content to grab it on the tour DVD.

U2 is simply on another level in terms of rock shows. Really fantastic concert. Only substantitive complaint is that it had to end.
