"The songs can hurt, and the songs can uplift. But they don't have to be reverent." — Bono

by Diego

I found this show aesthetically more rewarding. The images and all the "tricks" used on stage were more modest than other tours but quite more elegant, wich I personally appreciate. Those pop-down screens, and the movable horizontal light bar placed behind the band were really something!!! They really produced some beautiful images hard to forget. The black and white images above also produced some great effects - specially on the out of focus set during "Bullet the blue sky". I think it was a great decision to make a smaller tour production but much more effective in terms of perception.
The repertory was the greatest one I can remmeber, but the only thing I regret was the sound quality, I don't know if it was the place (Palau Sant Jordi) but it really wasn't what the band deserves.
The best of all was to confirm that the greatest band on earth is still in pretty good shape and very close with each other - The Edge's birthday celebration was a very warmth moment shared with all the people that filled the Palau S. Jordi. I think if there's gonna be a video of this tour, the management should definately include these Barcelona moments!!!
