"I'm not at all bitter about the world. I really think that if you get the information to people and tell them that they can be part of the generation that turns things right around, this will be it." — Bono

by mike roberts

U2 never disappoints. This was my 7th show dating back to the '93 tour and would easily qualify for the top 3. Yes, Bono's voice was a bit shaky early on. However, he seemed to have warmed up nicely and by the end of the show he was near flawless. He carried out the encore set to perfection. This was the first time I've seen them close with 'Bad', and I thought it kind of ended the show on a deep, pensive, sort-of intimate note. I think most of the crowd, along with myself were waiting for them to lighten it up perhaps with 'Walk On', or '40'. Nevertheless, an all around great show. I'm not sure if any band in the history of arena rock has been able to create the communal interconnectivity among a live crowd like these guys do.
