"Although spending a couple of months a year [in Ireland] is only a vague impression of home, any place else would seem like work." — Adam

Wow! My 20th U2 concert and this U2 veteran just can never get enough of these Irish lads. First night in Oakland was just amazing. My brother, myself and two other friends came to San Francisco from the LA area for one of my best lads 40th birthday and we all came away with a fantastic holiday. I provided 4 GA's for all of us and were treated to another solid and tight U2 performance. I should NEVER have to buy a pint of Guinness ever again from these guys I was with for the treat I just let them witnessed!!....LOL! Though none of us got scanned to go into the "bomb shelter" we did get just outside the elipse, The Edge's side, 4 rows deep. The band was in great spirits as I never witnessed The Edge smile or jump up and down as much as he did. Even Adam was cracking great smiles as he strolled by. Lawrence was as serious as usual but he rocked behind his kit. Bono sounded pretty darn good for all the shows they have done these first 3 legs. I got some pretty good pictures so hopefully you all enjoy them. I was pretty happy with the setlist. Haven't heard Until The End Of The World for a while live so that was brilliant to hear. Great opening with City Of Blinding Lights. Streets was and always is a crowd pleaser and the roof about caved in with the noise level and crowd response. Bono thanked many local San Franciscoians for their part with the One Campaign. (Green Day, Lars Ulrich of Metallica, Robin Williams, etc.) Bad was suppose to be the closer but the band went with "40". Hmmmm, I wonder if a little birdie told Bono that it was my friends "40th" birthday to go with the song....LOL! Thanks boys.

Walk On!

P.S. More picts to follow.
