"But it wasn't the songs that were the attraction. It was the energy and commitment to performance that were fantastic even then. Bono would run around looking for people to meet his eyes." — Paul McGuinness, on U2's early days

A great concert from the world's greatest band.

One Tree Hill put a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye. It was magic. I feel sorry for everyone else around the world who never get to hear it live. When performed live, it's like a little bit of Bad and Kite thrown into one, and the "oh great ocean..." part at the end is chilling.

Aside from One tree Hill, the set-list was standard for this leg of the tour. Angel of Harlem was fun, and the harmonica ending was very cool. Kite was a perfect closer, and I loved the way The Edge kept extending the song. It was a shame that Bono couldn't get the actual kite to fly (it got caught in the big screen), but you could forgive U2 for anything, couldn't you?
