"In general people put too much faith in the rich, the famous, the politicians, and not enough faith in themselves." — Bono

by Jimmy T.

........On to night two in beautiful Montreal. Highlights and observations (There are no lowlights at a U2 show).....Bono mixed in the city's name in "Stay" when he sang the line...."London, Belfast and Montreal" (With a French accent too. So Montreal sounded like Mon-Rayall) Towards the end of "The Fly" he pulled a woman up on stage and practically mauled her and then stood up over her on the heart and sang the ending line...."Look, I gotta go, I'm running out of change, there's a lot of things, if I could I'd rearrange". Seeing them two nights in a row I was glad the changed up the set list a little bit. In were "Even Better Than the Real Thing", "Angel of Harlem", "I Will Follow", "Help" and "I Remember You". Out were "Bad" (That's too bad in my opinion), "With or Without You", "Discotheque/Staring at the Sun". "Out of Control", "The Sweetest Thing" and "Desire". That's a pretty good mixture of songs for one city. Too bad the long weekend is over and it's back to work in Boston. (Once again a little side note. An older couple sitting behind us actually asked us to sit down at one point during the concert because they were sitting down and couldn't see. Hello!!!! Everyone else was standing up except those two. I simply said, "NO".)
