I quite like not having people who I don't know looking right into my eyes, as if they might find something out about me. -- Bono

Rock'n'Roll Doogie!

I have been a U2 fan for a long time, though that was my third show.
Popmart 1997 in Montreal, Elevation both nights in Montreal.

Let me tell you something: Last night show was one of those shows the band
will never forget. Never.

Everything was alright until the end of One. Suddenly, when Bono started Help! (from the Beatles), he lost the lyrics and his voice. It was very hard to see him struggling for his voice. Being at the front in the heart I saw Bono crying a little bit. At that point of the show, I told to myself that the show was over. That I would be the witness of something terrible... Edge, Larry and Adam were looking at Bono with a lot of regrets for him. With tears in his voice, looking very sad and distressfull, Bono and the band started Stuck In the Moment...

And then a new show was on.

After that, an incredible magic connected the audience with the band and Bono. Suddenly, the whole arena was in the show, singing all along until the end. It was absolutly terrific. Bono looked very happy seeing how the audience could left him and help him. Believe me, what happened last night was something incredible. A connection that could be hardly seen again.

After the show, I realized how difficult it must be for Bono to carry that show from a city to another. This guy gives all he can. I saw it.

My soul was elevated.
Thank you again U2. Thank you guys! You are giants.
