He possesses so many qualities I aspire to." -- Larry, on Edge

by Izabella from Hungary

I had the privilege to see the 2nd U2 concert from the inner circle in the Maksimir Stadium...I was close to be able to see their faces. The band did a great job, and they looked relaxed and friendly.
My review is more about pieces of memories with flashback feelings...
...I was waiting from 3 PM to 4.30 to get in...then run run run to the stage and spent 5 hours with trembling heart to see the band as close as I could...
... At the beginning we hardly could hear Bono because of the never ending ovation of the audience...he had to sing us over...I was amazed of the capacity of his voice...
...While 'Mysterious Ways'Bono called a girl (name Simone)from 1st row to 'free belly dance'- as it was written on his board. She was funny to wipe Bono's sweating down from his forehead than as she wanted to give the wet tissue back to him....while Bono wanted to be a gentleman and kiss her hand (which wiped the sweat down). It was funny.
...White balloons we were waving during the 1st song, Bono caught one and gave it to someone...
...Adam was smiling all the time and had a great time to see Bono and Edge as they sang together.
...Larry was strong, calm and respectful all the way. He came down once (during 'Don't Go Crazy'- I guess) but he was very very thankful for the audience- kept waving to us at the end...uhhh
...Edge was brilliant as usual- I loved him being the vocals...
...it was a 2-hour concert with love, intimacy and fun.
...It was serious in a way to highlight the needs in our planet. (while 'Walk on' we wore the mask of Aung San Suu Kyi, and a bunch of young people walked on the stage with the same mask-face on)
...I wish I could see them again on this tour.
...The technical equipment, the stage, all the guys who worked for music, sound, video helped to have a miraculous night for us...
