I hear so many songwriters describe their songs as their children. . . . They're your parents, they tell you what to do. -- Bono

This is the 4th show, I've been to, and my second one in NYC this year, as I saw the 10/10 show as well. The 10/10 show was incredible, and so I had to buy tickets for the next time they were in NY. Unfortunately, I was disappointed tonight. The show was basically fine until the end, but the abrupt ending was a disaster.

Until the End of the World is a fantastic addition. They deleted I Will Follow, which was unfortunate. It would have been nice to hear All Because of You. They played Origin of the Species, which isn't great. Streets is still their best song, especially the Intro. Crowd loved it.

On 10/10, they closed the show with Bad and 40, and people did not know what to do with themselves, it was amazing. But tonight, they closed with Instant Karma, a creative addition, but Patti Smith was useless. Quite frankly, they're the best band in the world, and adding her totally diluted from the experience. If they just would have closed with Bad, we would have come home happy, even if it still would have been a shorter show.

I wish they would close every concert with Bad. They're still the best, but unfortunately the concert on the 22nd was subpar, especially for being the closing concert in NYC.
