"I sing from standing in front of Larry Mullen's kick-drum; I sing from Edge ringin' those bells; I sing from Adam, who keeps us all on the ground. Above all else, my inspiration is friendship." — Bono

by Barry

Besides the very odd ending and being jipped of 10 minutes more of music, I am frustrated with the same old songs night after night - especially in NYC. After seeing U2 for almost 20 years now, enought Bullet, enough Pride, enough SBS. There is so much more they can do. I understand they have to play crowd pleasers to some extent, but for a fan like me that goes back to the 80s, I'm kinda tapped out of the excitement of their show because of this. Towards the end of the main set, Bono said "we aren't going anywhere - we love it here". Then, they end the show early with zero surprises. Maybe I expect too much, but all I ask for is some more effort and creativity.
