"[Larry]'s incredibly direct, incredibly black and white, but he's so professional and so honest. He's a one-take wonder." — Edge

Bono's voice seemed more hoarse, especially in the first half of this concert.  Whereas on July 19 he sounded so young, tonight he sounded like he was having some tour strain.

The sound wasn't as good tonight as July 19, but I suspect that was because we were only 4 rows away from the back of the stage.  Maybe the overhead speakers weren't pointing straight down.

Loved that they played Out of Control, and Bullet the Blue Sky was an emotional and musical high point.  I've seen them play Bullet so many times, but Bono was absolutely on fire with that song tonight.

The onstage fun with Jimmy Fallon was simply great - hopefully they've got more surprises in store for the rest of the week here in NYC.

It appeared that Bono was changing the setlist before One; maybe they planned to end with something different.

The band should consider alternating I Will Follow with other songs from Boy.  It feels like they've played this song at every tour the past 20 years.

Tonight's show started around 8:35 PM and ended at 10:50 PM.
