"I'm proud of what we achieved in stadiums, but this record is not about that. There's no artifice." — Larry, on All That You Can't Leave Behind

by Ray Malmsten

Wow, what a show.

U2 put a truly spectacular end to Seattle's Kingdome as a concert venue. Bono was as interactive with the crowd as ever including wearing a santa hat thrown onstage, to which he exclaimed "And the Lord said, Humble Yourself".

The set held true to the tours form, except for Stand By Me, and a sincere rendition of 40 to close up the show, the last show in the U.S., and the final Kingdome show. The dome was not sold old out, but everyone held onto Bono's words. He admitted the next time they are in America, it won't be this big, because "well, we can't afford it". He justified his idea to turn a "Casino into a Cathedral", by admitting "strange ideas come up at night." Bono's voice didn't flicker and he hit every trademark high note in the set. Of course, The Edge, Larry and Adam, were true to their form, overall an incredible show.
