"That the scriptures are brim full of hustlers, murderers, cowards, adulterers and mercenaries used to shock me. Now it is a source of great comfort." -- Bono

by Tommy Boy

This is my fourth time seeing U2 in concert. I thought that given this was the first official show of the world tour, there were going to be some issues along with high points.

Highlights: Confetti at the beginning of "City." Rousing versions of "Beautiful Day," "Streets," "Vertigo," and "All Because of You." "40" is a great way to end the show. The Edge, hands down, was on fire tonight!

Lowlights: A few technical difficulties affected the band, mainly Larry and Adam. Awakward segway from "Bullet the Blue Sky" into "Running to Stand Still." Bono's voice wasn't at 100%. Some "Atomic Bomb" songs just don't sound good live. TERRIBLE ventilation at the Sports Arena. I thought it was very hot.

Overall, I enjoyed the show. By the time I will see them at MSG, they will be tight, and I think all of "Atomic Bomb" songs will sound great live.
