I've started to see this community as a real resource in America. I have described them as 'narrow-minded idealists.' -- Bono, on the U.S. evangelical movement

by Jacob Mathai

Texas was ROCKED last night!! I dont think any other band can come into the great state of Texas and completely blow the roof off of it!! That is what our Irish friends did last night at UT.

The show was great! No Doubt lives up to their hype as a great live act. Lots of energy and fun. The sold me on their new material also. Gwen was hotter in person!

The boys kept everyone on their feet the whole time. It was an emotional roller coaster through out the entire set list. They came out ready to put on a performance.

I finally had the opportunity to hear Wild Honey on this tour. Bono and Edge did an acoustic version at the tip of the heart. Bono fumbled the words and an audience member gave him the lyrics. He was amused and told them to hold it up for him! Very funny.

During New York he took a cowboy hat from a girl in the heart and danced around with it. Afterwards he went looking for her and gave it back, brought her on stage, gave her a hug and kissed her on both cheeks! My sister, who came with me, was gasping! Just like all the other women in the arena.

All in all it was a great show, I was a little disappointed that they did not change the set list too much. This was my 7th show on this tour. I have been too Miami, Houston, Chicago and New York for the first leg. London-Earl's Court and Slane 1 for the second leg. And now Austin and, in two weeks, Las Vegas for the third.

It has been fun seeing these guys all over the world. So far Houston has been the best show. With Earls Court being second. I had GA tickets for London and I saw them the same day Bono's dad passed away. It was incredible that he showed up and performed. Very emotional. Austin was almost a tie but the circumstances were different.

Like I have said in all my reviews, If you have not caught a show on this tour, sell your belongings and find these guys. They have never been better!

U2 forever.
