To some people the church is their ticket to respectability, a certain bourgeois point of view, a safety net for when they go to bed. My idea of Christianity is no safety net, a scathing attack on bourgeois values, and a risk to respectability.-- Bono, 2002

I thought U2 put on a great show.

I went to the Houston show of the first leg (04/02/01). U2 put on a better show in Houston than they did here. That is not to say that it was so much musically inferior, but Bono seemed tired and his voice was not as good as it was for the Houston show.

While that can be said, the show was AMAZING. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and Pride were among the highlights (really EVERY song was a highlight). They dropped their Charton Heston video that they showed from the first leg of the tour. I found that to be a very pleastant surprise, especially after the world events of the past couple months.

The crowd was REALLY into it. During more than a few songs Bono seemed more like a songleader than a frontman, the crowd was really going nuts.

Great show, time to catch some sleep..

Mark
