U2 don't sound a tiny bit like them; their influence was more in terms of fear -- fear of ever having to go on after them. -- Bono, on The Clash

I have been a fan since 83. I've been to well over 50 shows and this was up there with the best. Probably the NYC post 9/11 show was the only one to top it. Reading some of the reviews and hearing people complain that the band wasn't into it this tour really bums me out. I think we're just spoiled b/c even when these guys don't give it 100% (we all have off days) they're still better than 99% of the other bands out there and still give a better live performance than any. The highlight for me is always the way the band mixes the music with the "messages"; i.e. the human rights campaign, Bono dedicating a song to his father, etc. this is not just a band, this is a group of talented musicians who come together and evoke such a hightened set of emotions it is difficult to compare it to any other experience. They truly are the best band in the world!
