"We are lucky enough to have developed a style that is natural." — Edge

by Dora

This was a great show. The audience went while and it was extremely loud, singing word by word. The beginning of Vertigo was astonishing. Elevation was memorable, you could see the band just staring amazed at the audience singing its heart out. Still Haven't..., Pride, WOWY, Streets were extremely loud. Miss Sarajeve very emotional. My favorite moment was the tribute to ZOO tv. Since I missed the chance to see it back in the 90s, this was a gift from the Irish gods. The backgroud screen was showing a collage of words and images just like in ZooTV (beLIEve)and the band perfomed ZOO Station and The FLY, while Bono was wearing a sort of a police hat (playing silly, just like the Fly, Mirrorball Man or MacPhisto). The Zooropa Boy or Space Boy, appeared on the screen shouting something (carnal, carnal, carnal?). I appreciate the fact that Bono apologized twice, in Spanish, for taking the band so long to come back to Mexico. I personally lost interest in the band for a while, since they didn't include Mexico in the Elevation tour and having Bono lobbying with American politicians and having the American flag inside his jacket made me sick to the stomach. But now! it is all in the past and they kissed and shook hands with their Mexican fans. Great show, I hope those rumors about having the show on film are true.
