"The thing that's most oppressive in our era is celebrity. And that's why people want to burn my house down. I think I understand that." — Bono

by Amo

First time seeing U2! Took the train - what a deal, and didn't have to stress about gridlock.
Very much enjoyed Lenny Kravitz as well - his drummer and sax player were both insanely good!
The stage, lights and even the entry build-up were intense - U2 walking out to "Ground Control" was thrilling.
The Jumbotron shots and camera angles were perfect.
I must say, though, it appeared Bono's voice gave out on him about two-thirds through the set.
"With or Without You" and "One" didn't even sound like it was Bono singing. He isn't as young as he was - so I don't think anyone cared.
Overall, fabulous and exciting!
