And my old man was into opera, which, as far as I was concerned, was just heavy metal. I like those bawdy opera songs. -- Bono

December 9th 2006 Aloha Stadium Hawaii This was are 11th show of the Vertigo Tour and 21st overall since 1997 Pop Mart Tour. By and far the best show we witnessed on the Vertigo Tour. It was a bitch spending the night on the concrete outside of the stadium but well worth it for a spot on the rail inside the Ellipse. We were on the ramp out to the small stage on Adam's side. Rocko and the Devils were a great opening act playing some cool covers and a few of their own original tunes to what amounted to just the GA crowd due to the early start time. Then the Pearl Jam took the stage and got us all up to light speed. I really enjoyed it. Aloha Stadium was packed when U2 took the stage and started with City of Blinding Lights that sent the Ellipse on fire. It was great to see Billy Joe Armstrong take the stage and join U2 in singing "Saints" and then Eddie Vedder came out for a couple of tunes. I will share a few sets of pictures I took and can't wait for the new CD and the next tour....
