You hold onto religion, you know, rules, regulations, traditions. I think what God is interested in is people's hearts, and that's hard enough. -- Bono, 2002

Comments: U2's first show in Los Angeles is a star-studded affair: Cindy Crawford, Colin Farrell, Sean Penn and Kate Hudson are among the celebrities spotted. The intermission video has new visuals in addition to the image of Johnny Cash. U2 plays "California" out on the e-stage, its second performance of the tour and first since Vancouver 2 on May 15. Bono pulls a lookalike on stage to do the Meerkat video for "Sweetest Thing" -- it's Joseph Hier, lead singer in the Hollywood U2 tribute band. Hier even sings some vocals during the song.
