Comments: Tonight's show is the first (and only) U2 concert at which a band member is missing. Adam does not play tonight; the reason originally given is illness, but in later years Adam admits he was suffering from a massive hangover. With the band and crew preparing for a worldwide pay-per-view live show a day later, the show must go on. Adam's bass tech Stuart Morgan fills in for him admirably.

Just like the second Melbourne show, MacPhisto's phone call is to Dame Edna Everage.
