Comments: U2 play the last doubleheader city on this European leg, and there are high expectation of surprises tonight. As fans enter the stadium, they see signs explaining that U2 is shooting a video for a new song and by attending the concert, they give permission for their likeness to be used, etc., etc. (The track is listed as "Best Thing" on the signs, likely a shortened version of "The Best Thing About Me Is You.") Fans also discover that the girl who came onstage for "Mysterious Ways" last night was a plant, and was followed by a video crew today including while she entered the stadium. Though fans wonder if U2 will actually play the new song during the show, it doesn't happen. Assumptions are that the video crew may have been taking footage of the audience tonight to use with their footage from the previous night.

Nevertheless, the crowd get a few surprises, including "Shine Like Stars" being spoken at the end of "With Or Without You." And with it being the second night in Amsterdam, U2 switches out "Bad" for "A Sort of Homecoming." The performance of the latter means that London is the only two-concert city in Europe where "A Sort Of Homecoming" isn't performed. At the end of "One," as the band is beginning to wave goodbye, they huddle momentarily and then retake their instruments to end the show with "I Will Follow." Although it looks impromptu to viewers, the song was pre-printed on the show's set list.
