Comments: As U2 arrives in Paris for four concerts, the production is in full-on preparation mode for Saturday's "live" HBO special. We put "live" in quotes there because the show will air in North America several hours after the concert ends on Saturday, and is expected to include footage shot at the first three Paris shows. There are dozens of additional cameras in use tonight, including one attached to a giant boom crane that can swing the camera out over the GA audience. Fans also notice that the lighting is different -- i.e., brighter -- tonight than at previous shows.

The show itself is also different, as U2 drops the standard "early hit" from the No. 2 spot in the setlist -- no "Electric Co.," no "Out Of Control" and no "Gloria" tonight. The band goes from "The Miracle" straight into "Vertigo," making it the second time "Vertigo" holds down the second spot in the show (Vancouver 2, May 15, 2015). The e-stage segment is also one song shorter than normal, as the band goes from "Elevation" straight into "Every Breaking Wave."
