Larry Mullen, Jr. Donates $100,000 To The Navajo And Hopi Solidarity Fund

Larry donated $100,000 to the Navajo and Hopi Solidarity Fund to assist indigenous people affected by COVID-19. According to the fund’s organizers, Larry’s donation will help supply a week’s worth of food and water to 1,000 Native American households, encouraging them to stay home and “flatten the curve” of the virus. Many Irish people donated to the fund, a gesture of solidarity honoring the Choctaw Nation’s donation of money to the Irish during the Great Famine in 1847. U2’s Instagram account relayed this message: “Across the ocean our hearts are broken and our eyes…which we thought were open…are just now beginning to see the depth and breadth of systematic racism in our beloved America.
