Bono & Edge Congratulate Electric Lady Studios On 50th Birthday

The Electric Lady Studios in New York, where U2 recorded part of their album Songs Of Innocence, turned 50 on August 26. Bono and Edge took the opportunity to send their birthday wishes.

Edge gave a short speech about what the studios mean to him, and Bono recited a bespoke limerick.
You can find both videos on Electric Lady's Instagram page (Edge and Bono), as well as the studio's heartfelt response.

First Trailer For Phil Lynott: Songs For While I'm Away Documentary Released

Last week saw the release of the first trailer for upcoming documentary Phil Lynott: Songs For While I'm Away, set for release in Ireland in the fall. Directed by Emer Reynolds (Here Was CubaThe Farthest) and starring Carl Shaaban as Phil Lynott, it tells the story of Lynott’s life and career from growing up in working-class Dublin in the 1950s to becoming a famous rock star. The film includes interviews with our very own Adam Clayton, Thin Lizzy’s Eric Bell, Metallica’s James Hetfield and Ultravox’s Midge Ure.

You can watch the trailer featuring a quote by Adam here.
