"I sing from standing in front of Larry Mullen's kick-drum; I sing from Edge ringin' those bells; I sing from Adam, who keeps us all on the ground. Above all else, my inspiration is friendship." — Bono

Reforma newspaper reports on new U2 video shoot

U2's time in Mexico City wasn't just about playing those two Joshua Tree tour shows earlier this week. According to the Mexican newspaper Reforma, the band shot a video for "Get Out Of Your Own Way" on Thursday in the Colonia Juarez neighborhood of Mexico City. That's one of the lesser-known song titles we've been tracking on our Songs Of Experience info page -- Bono first mentioned it in 2015 to a Canadian reporter. (Reforma is calling the song "Get Out On Your Own Way," which we think is a typo.)

The paper says Anton Corbijn is directing the video, which the band worked on between the hours of 5:30 - 10:00 pm local time. The article is accompanied by several photos that show the band performing in an open-air space, with Bono wearing a jacket and hat that looks like his "Shadow Man" character from performances of "Exit" on the current tour.

All of this comes from a tweet sent this morning by the article's author, Juan Carlos Garcia, which you can see below.
