Tickets available: See Rattle And Hum on the big screen at #U240Cleveland

U2 - Rattle and Hum

We're thrilled to announce that @U2 is hosting a screening of Rattle And Hum at Tower City Cinemas in Cleveland as part of the #U240Cleveland anniversary weekend!

The film will start at 9:30 pm on Saturday, September 24, to cap a fun first day of events celebrating the 40th anniversary of U2's first meeting in Larry's kitchen. Tickets are $10 per person, and this is a separate ticket from the one you'll buy for entry into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Once @U2 has recouped our costs in making this event happen, any proceeds will be donated to a U2-related charity.

You can buy tickets at the theater box office at any time between now and the start of the film, or you can order online in advance to guarantee yourself a seat. (Online orders carry an additional $1 service fee.) If you'd like to buy online in advance, use the link below, then scroll down and click where you see "9:30 pm" listed under "Showtimes." That will begin the online ordering process.

Note: This screening is listed on the theater's website for anyone to discover. There's a chance members of the general public who have no idea what @U2 is, what #U240Cleveland is, etc., will find the listing and decide to join us. The theater holds more than 300 people, so that may or may not impact ticket availability as the event draws near. Plan accordingly.

Tower City Cinemas is located in downtown Cleveland, a little more than a mile away from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and many of the area hotels that travelers are probably using for the weekend. There's a small "map" link on the page above that will help you see the location (or you can just type the theater's name into Google).

And for those who may be newer U2 fans, Rattle And Hum is the Phil Joanou-directed documentary that captured U2 as it traveled across North America on the Joshua Tree tour in 1987. The film was released in late October/early November of 1988, and has rarely been shown in movie theaters since then. Don't miss this opportunity to catch U2 history on the big screen!
