The show in Brussels tonight was the last of the European leg of The Joshua Tree Tour 2017.

Bono praised the city of Brussels several times. "We are proud to be in the capital of Europe," he said right at the beginning of the show. Then, before the encore: "I’m very proud to be in the capital of the great idea that Europe is. It’s not finished yet, but it’s a great idea." And after "Miss Sarajevo," Bono thanked Belgium "for opening your doors, opening your hearts, opening your eyes. Takes courage to show this much compassion."

Bono namedropped Smasher (of U2's video crew) and the World Food Program. Photographer Anton Corbijn attended the show once more.

During "Pride," Bono also asked the audience to "sing for peace in Europe." The song "Ultraviolet (Light My Way)" was dedicated specially tonight to Adam's wife, Mariana. Last week, the couple announced of the birth of baby girl Alba.

At the end of the show, before "One", Bono dedicated this night to Sam Shepard who died yesterday.

Here is the full Brussels set list.

The European shows were full of energy, with a passionate audience. Fans planned beautiful flash mobs in Rome and Amsterdam. Surprise performances like Noel Gallagher and Patti Smith singing together with U2 on the stage were also highlights in Europe. And we can’t forget of the special jet plane flyovers in Dublin.

The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 takes a break and returns to U.S. next month. Leg 3 starts in Detroit, on September 3.
