Poll Results: No U2 Christmas Album, Please

@U2, January 31, 2013
By: Matt McGee / @mattmcgee

U2 fans aren't very interested in an album of Christmas songs; they want real U2 music.

During December, we ran a survey on our home page asking if fans would like U2 to release a Christmas album as long as it didn't interfere with a normal U2 release. Even with that caveat, the overwhelming answer was ... no Christmas album. More than 63 percent of the 2,160 votes cast were against the idea.

U2 has recorded two Christmas songs as a full band -- Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) and I Believe In Father Christmas -- and both have traditionally been popular with U2 fans. But the idea of a full album of Christmas tunes apparently isn't as popular. The full survey results are below.

Don't forget to vote in our current poll question, which asks about the idea of a U2 greatest hits tour.
