Help Wanted: Join The @U2 Team!

Are you interested in working (and having fun) with other U2 fans? We have just the job for you! 

Every few years, we open our doors to fresh new voices. As U2 continue to release albums and tour, we have constant opportunities to report on them and delve into what they create. With both of those things in mind, it’s time for us to bring a new slate of dedicated and energetic U2 fans on board the @U2 team. 

As we’ve done in previous years, we’re casting a wide net and looking for some unique perspectives on what it means to be a U2 fan. First and foremost, we are looking to fill three specific roles: News Editor, News Writer, and Social Media Manager. We’re especially looking to hire a number of new writers who can report on the band’s comings and goings with regularity and timeliness. 

In addition to those three roles, we’ll be happy to consider any U2 fan who can provide something new and exciting to our team. If you feel that applies to you, we welcome you to email us and tell us how you can help. You can be a writer, designer, social media enthusiast, video editor, or really just about anything else you might think of. We are especially looking to add staff from diverse backgrounds and unique locales. 

We need people who can commit to creating and writing consistently. When U2 are in a busy period, there may be lots of information and news coming in that needs to be written about right away. When U2 enter a slow period, between albums or tours for instance, we don’t want the site to have to enter a slow period as well. We understand that everyone has their own lives, and that different time-zones can make this more complicated. We ask for a commitment to create, bring ideas to the table, and be reliable.

Position: News Editor

We're looking for an experienced News Editor to perform copyediting, writing, and brainstorming duties. 

Requirements:

  • Must have experience copyediting articles in a professional setting.

  • Must have a demonstrated understanding of AP style conventions.

  • Must have demonstrated writing experience, preferably in a professional setting.

  • Must be able to contribute reliably on a regular basis.

  • Must be able to provide constructive, productive feedback.

Position: News Writer

We're looking for dedicated writers to report on breaking U2 news in a timely manner. 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to write concisely and in accordance with AP grammatical conventions.

  • Must be available to write on a regular, frequent basis.

  • Must be proficient in social media.

  • Must be able to contribute to established long-form pieces, such as the  “On The Record” or “Like A Song” series, on a regular basis.

  • Must be able to receive constructive, productive feedback.

Position: Social Media Manager

We're looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to maintain our online presence. 

Requirements:

  • Must have experience with all popular social media platforms in a professional setting.

  • Must have a demonstrated ability to manage a small team..

  • Must be able to contribute reliably on a regular basis.

  • Must be able to provide and receive constructive, productive feedback.

  • Must contribute to the site on a regular, frequent basis.
