"The word suggests his shape, his vibe. There was a hearing-aid shop, Bonovox of O'Connell Street. I thought he looked like the place." — Guggi, on the origins of Bono's name

Dublin's Little Museum Planning Permanent U2 Exhibit, Looking for Artifacts

@U2

The Little Museum of Dublin is planning a permanent U2 exhibit and is also looking to include artifacts and collectibles from fans. The museum hopes to open the exhibit in the next few weeks, but since it's a permanent exhibit, they're happy to get contributions at any time. The exhibit will cover U2's entire history, from the band's beginnings to the present day. Here's what they're looking for:

We're looking, for all kinds of things, especially unusual props from concerts, letters to fans from the band, tickets from rare concerts, very old posters or posters from controversial gigs, items of clothing, anything that may have a story behind. Rarity isn't the objective more a narrative.

Fans with things to contribute should send an email to mccartgr ... @ ... tcd.ie with details. You'll have the choice to donate your item(s) altogether, or loan it/them to the museum for five years. (NOTE: Our original post had the email address wrong. The one above is correct.)
