Bono Busks Again on Christmas Eve

@U2, December 24, 2010
By: m2 / @mattmcgee

Just as he did last year, Bono joined friends and fellow Dubliners for a Christmas Eve busking session tonight on Grafton Street in Dublin. The video below is of a group sing-a-long on John Lennon's "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)" and there may have been other songs sung, as well. The video description says it was done "in aid of the homeless" -- last year, Bono and friends busked for the Dublin Simon Community, a local goup that aids the homeless. Dublin media picked up on last year's busking and so we're assuming there'll be more details coming along soon. For now, here's a video just posted to YouTube.

UPDATE: Bono sang tonight with Glen Hansard, Damien Rice, Damien Dempsey, The Coronas, and others. And, as this other video shows, he first sang "White Christmas" and then did the Lennon cover.

UPDATE #2: It appears the buskers also sang U2's "One," although it's anybody's guess if that happened before or after the other songs. Here's a video showing a bit of "One."
