"Someone wrote in a bathroom 'God is dead: Nietzche.' And someone wrote after that 'Nietzche is dead: God.' I love that."

Bono and Edge cancel Tonight Show appearance

@U2, June 17, 2011
By: Karen Lindell

A centenarian has replaced the two guys whose ages add up to 100.

A few days ago @U2 reported that The Tonight Show With Jay Leno website listed Bono and The Edge as guests scheduled to appear on the program Monday, June 20. They also were billed as the musical act, to perform songs from Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. The website now shows "100-year-old Dorothy Custer" as the guest in their place, and LMFAO is the music act.

A spokesperson for the show said that the U2 duo's "schedule changed and they canceled their appearance on the show."

Custer, although she's of course not Bono or Edge, sounds like a fun, spry centenarian, according to the Times-News of Twin Falls, Idaho.
