U2 Asking for Disaster-Relief Donations in the Wake of Terror Attacks

The members of U2 are asking their fans to help the rescue efforts in New York City and Washington, D.C., in the wake of Tuesday's (September 11) terror attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. A message on the band's official website (u2.com) reads, "You can support relief efforts following the tragedy in the U.S. by making a donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

"At u2.com, along with other U2 sites, we extend our sympathy and condolences to those affected."

To make a donation, call 1-800-HELP-NOW (1-800-435-7669), or go to redcross.org. Spanish-speaking contributors can call 1-800-257-7575.
