"'Party Girl' was a tune we wrote and recorded in about 40 minutes. We had no time left in the studio and we needed a B-side for our first single, so Steve suggested we all go in and lay down two takes of whatever we could come up with.I laid down the guitar chords with Larry, Adam followed, and Bono got on mic and had a few goes at a vocal. The lyrics are mostly improvised. In spite of how it came together it became a live standard." - The Edge, October 2008

I know a girl
A girl called Party, Party Girl
I know she wants more than a party, Party Girl
And she won't tell me her name
Oh no, not even me

I know a boy
A boy called Trash, Trash Can
I know he does all that he can, wham bam
But he won't tell me his name
Oh no, not even me

Yeah, a new kind of guitar hero

When I was three
I thought the world revolved around me
I was wrong
And so I sing along
And if you dance
Then dance with me

I know a girl
A girl called Party, Party Girl
I know she wants more than a party, Party Girl
I think you know what he wants

Will you join us in a glass? Well, we'll see you in O'Connell Street then. There's a little pub I know there. All 70,000 of us could fit in, I'm sure.

I think he knows what I want
I think he knows what I want

I want to come back to Paris soon
Thank you
