We need to stop this two-steps-forward, one-step-back tango that we have been dancing for years and start marching. The good news is that a lot of people have their boots on. -- Bono, 2005

Can't Help Falling In Love Lyrics

Wise men say only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay, would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you

Like a river flows to the sea
So it goes, some things were meant to be

Take my hand, take my whole life too
I can't help falling in love with you
I can't help falling in love with you

(This song, performed by Bono, can be found on the Honeymoon in Vegas soundtrack)

The audio track of Elvis talking to reporters was recorded on Sept. 22, 1958. He was in Brooklyn, getting ready to be deployed. This is the portion of the interview used in the song:

Elvis - I had just gotten the book, sir. I don't know.

Reporter - Where'd you get it? Somebody gave it to you as a gift?

Elvis - One of the boys gave it to me on the train. The title of the book was 'Poems That Touch The Heart'.

Reporter - Did any of them touch your heart?

Reporter - Have you had a chance to read it?

Elvis - Yes, ma'am, I read a couple poems in it. I read one in particular called 'Should You Go First', wich is a beautiful poem.

Reporter - Do you prefer poetry to short stories?

Elvis - Yes ma'am, I do.

Reporter - Do you know by whom the poem was?

Elvis - The author was unknown in the poem. That's right.

Reporter - Elvis, is your dad going to Germany shortly after or at the same time you do?

Elvis - Yes ma'am, he is supposed to leave, I think, on the twenty-sixth.

Reporter - Is anybody else going with you?

Elvis - My grandmother and one of the boys that used to work for us is going too.

Reporter - Do you like to go to Germany? I know you have no choice, but ah...

Elvis - Yes sir. I'm looking forward to it. In fact, before I came in the Army we were planning a tour of Europe. I've never been out of the States except to Honolulu. Rock and roll music is very big in europe, in Germany, and all over europe. It's very big.
