Watch Bono & Edge on 60 Minutes

Bono & Edge appeared on the CBS news program 60 Minutes tonight as part of a 15-minute feature on Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. The broadcast traced some of the history of the Broadway musical and, in addition to interview clips, also featured Bono and Edge singing some of the songs with the musical's performers. If you've been following the news about Spider-Man, you probably won't have learned anything new from the interview clips. But some of the musical segments were a joy to watch, and at least a couple of the songs sound like they'd fit well on just about any U2 album. Below are two videos: First, the actual 60 Minutes on-air news feature; second, an "Overtime" segment featuring several outtakes that didn't appear on TV, including a lot more of Bono and Edge working and performing. Our staffer, Sherry Lawrence, was at the first preview performance tonight and will be posting her thoughts and recap in our weekly OTR column.
